Administrative Law / Public Law

Administrative Law in Cyprus allows you to challenge decisions or actions of public authorities that affect you, through a recourse under Article 146 of the Constitution. You may need to file a recourse when a government department rejects your application, delays making a decision, or issues a decision you believe is unfair or unlawful, for example in matters such as permits, licenses, public service decisions, forced expropriation of properties, requisition of properties, imposition of restrictions to properties, and change of urban zones. This process gives you the opportunity to have the decision reviewed by the Court and to protect your rights.
